Mathura is located at a distance of 58 km from Agra. Mathura the birthplace of Lord Krishna and famous for its culture and heritage and as one of the major pilgrimage centers for the Hindus, is situated within the Golden Triangle of Delhi-Jaipur-Agra. Mathura is in Uttar Pradesh. Very much connected with the Hindu epic Mahabharata, Krishna is said to have spent his childhood and adolescence in Braj. According to the Garuda Purana, Mathura along with Ayodhya, Avantika, Kasi, Puri, Kanchi and Dwarka are the seven sites which grant moksha.

Though the city is Mathura is mainly associated with the life of Lord Krishna, it is also sacred to Jains and Buddhists. The Ghats and the tranquil banks of river Yamuna give Mathura a serene feel. The festivals celebrated in the city revolve around the life of Lord Krishna. Janmashtami and Holi are celebrated with great zeal. Barsana, which is 27 km from Mathura, is known for the celebration of Lathmaar Holi. Shri Krishna Janam Bhumi, Dwarkadheesh Temple, Vishram Ghat, Gita Mandir are some of the places of tourist attractions as are connected with the life of Krishna and are frequently visited by their followers.


Vrindavan, one of the major pilgrimage centers for the Hindus is located on the banks of Yamuna River and is about 150 km to the south of Delhi. Vrindavan is one of the oldest cities in the country and is believed to be the city where Lord Krishna grew up.


Delhi the capital city of India is situated at a distance of 216 km from Agra. Delhi is a must visit place as it has a lot to offer to the tourists. Delhi has several places having religious significance like Jama Masjid, Akshardham Temple and Gurudwara Bangla Sahib and Sacred Heart Cathedral. If you want to enjoy the architectural wonders of Delhi then you can visit Qutub Minar, There are a large number of malls for where you can enjoy shopping. Bharatpur which is located 50 km west of Agra is the eastern gateway to Rajasthan and is famous all over the world as the Bird Paradise. It is named after Bharat, the second brother of Lord Ram. Being the capital of the previous princely state of Bharatpur, it falls within the Golden Triangle comprising Delhi, Jaipur and Agra, and can be easily accessed by tourists. Towards its north is Gurgaon district of Haryana and towards its east is Mathura and Agra districts of Uttar Pradesh.
