Dos and Don'ts of Posting Travel Pics on Social Media Sites
In today’s world social media sites are gaining a lot of popularity and they have become the major source of publicity and advertisement. There are people who like to post every single moment of their day on social media sites and many of us make jokes of the things sometimes people choose to post on social sites. Not only are this social media sites also a great source of connection, networking and encouragement.
As far as LGBT India Tour is concerned the posts towards which we are attracted is that of travel photos. And this is because we are in travel industry. If it’s being a long day and if we came to see on social sites the post of someone's recent trip to Goa, with beautiful sunsets and amusement on the beach, it just makes us happy and we feel good. Just like all the photos are not meant to be posted on social sites in the same way on the posting of travel photos too there are some dos and don'ts especially if you want to keep your social media friends and family engaged, as well as keeping things safe for you. The dos and don’ts are as follows:-
1. If you do not want to make the world know that you are away from your home the first rule in posting photos is if you don't have a house-sitter, wait until you get back home to post photos of your vacation. This is something which most of us know, but then also we see a lot of real time vacation posts every day, and this way you make it pretty easier for a burglar to know that you are not at home so it’s a suggestion avoid doing this to prevent any kind of mishappening to take place.
2. If you are planning for a trip by sayings at the workplace that you are sick and so taking leaves then it’s quite understandable not to post any pictures of your trip, and also make sure that your traveling companions should also know this as well. It would be foolish if a trip to Kashmir made you lose your job (but it wouldn't be the first time for Kashmir).
3. Pictures and photos are something which educate, enlighten, entertain, give pleasure, and motivate others as well as yourself, and so on social media wherever posting of photos are required it should be used. One of the benefits of posting photos is that it gives you an online album so that whenever you want to see it you can get it again and again, every time you need a pick-me-up.
4. As far as possible try to be particular with your photos, especially with the duplicates. While posting photos you should keep in mind the phrase, "a little goes a long way" as this is very true and is very much applicable while posting photos. As for example the 10 pictures of Mt. Everest taken from different angles may seem really interesting to you, but for those who have not been there even once for them it’s useless and boring so be precise in posting photos, as the quality matters the most and not the quantity. Also, if you are using an editing app with your photos, be careful with how much you edit them, as some filters may make the photo look great on your smart phone, but pixilated or distorted online.
5. If possible try to include an exciting portrayal or facts full of fun with your photos. To make the photos more interesting you can post photos with adequate background information so that they tell a story. If you come across to know something interesting about the target or destination you are photographing, do not forget to include that in your post. This will help the viewers to feel that they are part and parcel of the experience with you.
