In recent years Pokhara Valley has grown as a destination for adventure sports such as paragliding and ultra-light aircraft flights. Apart from this Pokhara valley has a lot of other adventures and attractions to enjoy like boating, trekking and mountain biking, bird watching.


Motor Biking: Nothing can be as exciting as exploring the valley on a motorbike. With natural beauty flourishing around Pokhara, the ride is adventure filled with excitements and pleasure. The locals of the Pokhara are very friendly and they make the trip amusing and one can venture anywhere in the unrestricted valley. What all you need for a daring and wonderful ride is a good bike and a reliable map.


Boating: Phewa Lake of Pokhara undoubtedly is striking and so it draws the whole attention of the visitors towards it. Boating which is the best means of amusement, and also a favorite pastime can be enjoyed any time of day. About 15 km out of Pokhara is located the two other lakes, Begnas and Rupa. Though these lakes are less visited but they are very beautiful and are superb for boating and fishing.


Ultra-Light Aircraft: If you want to have a bird’s eye view of the entire Pokhara Valley then go up in an ultra-light aircraft and get a far-reaching view of the entire Pokhara Valley. The aircraft ride which is an exciting and thrilling ride allows unrestricted views of the mountains and the scenic lakes far below. Starting from September through June this ultra-light flights are operated from Pokhara Airport.


Paragliding: Paragliding is the most pleasant short duration adventure sports which describes the fact that there is nothing between you and the scenery unfolding before you. During paragliding one can have a mesmerizing view of the majestic Himalayas and the villages, temples, monasteries, lakes and jungles, a truly bird’s eye view and an interesting one at that.


Golf: Many years ago the sport of Golf was introduced in Pokhara because Pokhara has space and also the climate is suitable for playing golf. In Pokhara two world-class golf courses are there.


Pony Riding: Pony riding an enjoyable way of getting in the region of Pokhara and there are operators who organize the rides for valley and the surrounding hills.


Rafting: Rivers of Nepal rank high for white-water rafting in the world, and Pokhara is best suited for rafting because of its rivers. Trishuli River, which is flowing all along the Kathmandu-Pokhara highway is the most famous and admired river for rafting. Kali Gandaki and Seti rivers are in the same way good by way of plenty of exciting rapids.


Mountain Biking: Through mountain biking you have an opportunity to completely visit the countryside on a ride through lush green fields, up and down the hills, delightful little villages, along river banks, over suspension bridges, around temples and along the highway. For mountain biking, bikes can be easily rented from any of the various bicycle rental shops in and around the city.


Hiking around Pokhara: Those who want to go on longer popular treks to the Annapurna Circuit for them there are various hiking destinations around Pokhara.
